چکیده
Processes with only one output being controlled by a single manipulated variable are classified as single-input single-output (SISO) systems. Many processes, however, do not conform to such a simple control configuration. In the process industries for example, any unit operation capable of manufacturing or refining a product cannot do so with only a single control loop. In fact, each unit operation typically requires control over at least two variables, e.g. product rate and product quality. There are, therefore, usually at least two control loops to contend with. Systems with more than one control loop are known as multi-input multioutput (MIMO) or multivariable systems. Consider the following common unit operations:

Multivariable Control of a Coupled Drives Process with Decoupling Controllers
The paper is focused on an application of self – tuning decoupling controllers for real – time control of a multivariable coupled drives apparatus. The controlled apparatus is a multivariable nonlinear system. Two control algorithms based on polynomial theory and pole – placement are proposed. Decoupling compensators are used to suppress interactions between control loops. The controllers integ...
متن کاملContinuous-Time and Discrete Multivariable Decoupling Controllers
The paper is focused on a design and implementation of a decoupling multivariable controller. The controller was designed in both discrete and continuous-time versions. The control algorithm is based on polynomial theory and pole – placement. A decoupling compensator is used to suppress interactions between control loops. The controller integrates an on – line identification of an ARX model of ...
متن کاملDecoupling multivariable GPC with reference observation and feed- forward compensation method Case Study: Neonate incubator
In this paper, we focused on a design of an algorithm for decoupling multivariable systems based on generalized predictive control (DGPC). Two techniques are developed and compared for decoupling of TITO (Two-Input, Two-Output) processes. The first method is based on adding compensators between the upper and lower control paths. According to the second method, we use an adaptive error weighting...
متن کاملAero-Engine Adaptive Fuzzy Decoupling Control
A new kind of multivariable adaptive fuzzy decoupling controller is present for Aero-engine, which consists of multivariable fuzzy decoupling control and fuzzy model reference learning control. A fuzzy inverse model is used to produce and adjust fuzzy rules online. The simulation results show that this controller is effective.

This work is focused on the improvement of variable-speed variable-pitch wind turbine performance by means of its control structure. This kind of systems can be considered as multivariable nonlinear processes subjected to undesired interactions between variables and presenting different dynamics at different operational zones. This interaction level and the dynamics uncertainties complicate the...
